Parking Lot Autocross
Parking Lot Autocross is the easiest way to get started in motorsports. Any car can participate and you can be as competative as you want without breaking the bank. SCCR does not currently have a program due to lack of locations to hold events, however we are working on it. In the mean time you can find events nearby in Madison and Chicago. Check motorsportsreg.com for events.

Where
Attend an Event
Sports Car Club of Rockford holds several events each year and if you are interested in participating or getting involved with the club, attending an event is a great way to get started. Watch the events page and our Facebook page for schedules.
You are welcome to attend any event, even if you do not participate competetively. This is a great way to get an introduction to motorsports and see what is involved. There are always members available to answer questions and help get you started.
There are also opportunites to volunteer and help out. We are always looking for help and the people you meet will become friends.
Road racing events are usually held on weekends at various local tracks. Blackhawk Farms Raceway is the most visited track, but we also go to Road America, Autobahn, Milwaukee Mile, Gingerman, and Grattan. Schedules are posted on Motorsports Reg and the Midwestern Council web site.
High speed track events, where you can run your street car, are usually held in conjunction with the road racing events.
